FutureWaves™

FutureWaves™ is a wave and vessel motion forecasting system unlike any product available today.  Originally developed for the United States Navy’s Office of Naval Research, the FutureWaves™ technology has only now become available to the general public. The product uses a specialized X band wave radar to measure the behavior of waves surrounding a vessel, recommend a heading and speed to minimize ship motions, and forecast specific individual waves and the vessel impacts up to five minutes before the motion actually occurs. The applications are endless and will help to mitigate risk while increasing operability on countless types of offshore vessels, rigs, and platforms.

CHAMP

The CoHerent Acoustic Modulatable Projector (CHAMP) System is a coherent sound source for seismic surveys.  The system development is funded by ExxonMobil, Shell, and Total and is closely associated with U.S. Patent No. 9,562,982 issued to APS in February of 2017.  Additional domestic and international patents are pending.

BAMAS

BAMAS is a microphone array-based noise source detection, classification and localization system capable of monitoring impulsive and steady-state low frequency acoustic noise.  BAMAS installations are remote and wireless, and are designed for unattended operation using either solar or AC power.  Automated email notifications of a noise event are transmitted via a secure VPN network.  The system's accompanying web-based tools provide GIS mapping, noise levels, noise playback and data download for each event.  All system data may be exported to Excel and Google Earth.
