NEWS: APS Showcases Three SBIR Phase II Projects at Navy Opportunity Forum
Representatives from APS showcased the results from three different SBIR Phase II projects at the Navy Opportunity Forum on June 7-9, 2010. The forum was held in Crystal City Hyatt located in Arlington, VA where hundreds of personnel from the DoD program offices, prime contractors / large scale integrators, and small businesses met to support technology transfer and commercialization endeavors. The forum is the final milestone of the Navy SBIR Transition Assistance Program which is an intensive 12-month program designed to transition SBIR-funded technology to the Phase III level with the ultimate goal of widespread commercialization. At the forum APS presented technical and programmatic details on SBIR Topics N07-014, N07-070, and N07-076 which concern the development of a time reversal acoustics sonobuoy system, vector sensors for deep submergence applications, and vector sensors for submarine towed array applications, respectively.
